A Century Ride for Charity (August 2022)

Why Ride 100 Miles through the majestic mountains of Colorado?

Michael Wastvedt enjoys helping people, from advising startup businesses to guiding people on the best approach to save money on taxes.   It’s part of who he is.  But ride 100 miles on a bike up and down through mountains for charity?  You gotta’ be crazy…you betcha’!!!

On August 20th, against the backdrop of majestic mountain ranges and a cloud scattered sky, Michael Wastvedt and a close friend joined hundreds of serious bikers to participate in the Triple Bypass, a challenging bike race from Evergreen Colorado to Vail Colorado.

The classic Triple is a bucket-list event across the nation, and for good reason. Leaving from Evergreen, CO, they travel over Juniper, Loveland and Vail pass. Pure gorgeous.  For those who dare, this century ride travels about 106 miles with elevations ranging from approximately 7,500 feet up to 12,000 feet – three times!!.

Proceeds of the Triple Bypass charity event are given back to local and national non-profits. With over $3 million raised over the years, Riding the Triple really makes a difference.  Now that really makes Michael smile.
