Tony’s path to accounting wasn’t a straight line, and that’s part of what makes his approach so thoughtful.

Before accounting, Tony worked in theatre management and received an MFA from the Yale School of Drama and a BA from Duke University, developing a lifelong appreciation for storytelling, craft, and the details that make something endure. He later earned his Master of Accounting from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of NC Chapel Hill, bringing that same care and precision into his professional work.

Outside the office, Tony is deeply committed to historic preservation. He owns a historic home and served eight years on the Oxford Historic Preservation Commission (5 years as Chairman), a role that still matters greatly to him. His love for antiques and collectibles reflects a respect for things built to last—values that quietly influence how he works with clients.

Tony also loves to cook and bake, often hosting friends for thoughtfully prepared dinners, and has a strong affection for American musical theatre, classic Hollywood, and dramatic arts of all kinds. And of course, there’s his dog, Brodie—the firm’s official greeter, and an essential part of the office’s welcoming atmosphere.

At the heart of it all, Tony brings curiosity, care, and a genuine interest in people into everything he does, both in life and in work.
